This information note was made by the Pathology Service of the Regional Institute for Floriculture with the collaboration of the Technical Services of the L’Ortofrutticola of Albenga Cooperative and the Flor Coop Sanremo Cooperative.
Weather Note – In western Liguria 2023 began with temperatures and humidity rates unusually high compared to recent years when winters were rather dry and skies often cloudy or covered with alternating clearing ups and drizzles. As expected, the winter season has finally started in mid-January and temperatures have dropped significantly, while the weather kept being unstable, alternating clouds and clearing ups. The winter season should continue at least until the end of February, and snow is expected even at low altitude with risk of frosts along the coast.
